Gender Analysis for Logic Models, Results Frameworks, & Theories of Change Workshop

June 11, 2015 @ 1-5p in Midtown Manhattan
Reserve your place for this workshop here.

This workshop will improve integration and institutionalization of a gendered approach in program creation, implementation, and assessment.  Specifically, this gender analysis training will equip staff and partners with the skills to integrate the protection and empowerment of women and girls throughout your work, improve the efficacy programs through systematic assessment and application of lessons learned, and track investment in and monitor the progress of programs designed to improve gender equality and female empowerment.

This gender integration workshop will strengthen the strategy and project design phases by ensuring the deployment of evidence-based investment and use of common indicators to measure success. Common measurement indicators discussed will include, but are not limited to: (a) number of laws, policies, or procedures drafted, proposed or adopted to promote gender equality at the regional, national, or local level; (b) proportion of female participants in programs generally, and specifically in programs designed to increase access to economic resources and political participation; (c) proportion of female participants who report increased self-efficacy; (d) number of people reached by gender-based violence (GBV) intervention and treatment programs—including health, legal, psychosocial counseling, and shelters; and (e) percentage of target population that views GBV as either less acceptable, or entirely unacceptable.

The objectives of this workshop are to:

  • Improve understanding and applicability of gender analysis;
  • Strengthen understanding of gender integration: gender analysis, gender budgeting, and gender human resources and human rights policies;
  • Improve capacity to integrate gender analysis within strategy, planning, and project implementation phases;
  • Increase knowledge and skills in integrating gender analysis into RFPs – including how to conduct a gender analysis, practicing this integration process with RFPs for education, economic growth, and democracy and governance sectors;
  • Develop understanding of evidence-based strategy and planning with common indicators used to mark level of success.
